DARLEY ZEN
|
|
Mature approx 82cm Sire: Shanusti Dane's Devil (dec), piebald 79cm Dam: Darley May, black 84cm Registered AMPS, APSB and VPS Zen was clipped out as a yearling ready for showing. He's looking nice but can be a bit of a handful. After all the Ag shows were cancelled I turned him out in the paddock and took his rugs off once his coat grew back. I then had to reclip him in February to take him to a few shows before the end of the season. Latest pic was taken at Berwick Ag Show in February top left. Quite a mature looking yearling, still bum high so has some more growing to do - hopefully he'll be more level as a 2yo.

FUTURE STUD STALLION
GLENELEN SUNRAY
|
(above pic by Sherbrooke Photography) |
Mature approx 85cm Sire: Laurelwood Jeronimo, skewbald 83cm Dam: Boolarong Sunset, liver chestnut 86cm Registered AMPS, APSB and VPS (pending) We have recently purchased this skewbald colt to run on to be our next breeding stallion if all goes well. Purchased in partnership with Yarralyn Stud. Sunray attended only a few foal shows for a reserve champion at one show, and champion colt and Supreme miniature pony foal at the Scottish Heritage Day foal show. He has a lot of potential.

| My beautiful stallion Devil died on the morning of 21 February 2007. I found him dead in his paddock of unknown causes. No signs of much of a struggle, so whatever happened did so quickly in the middle of the night. Suspected snake bite. What a devastating loss of such a beautiful pony at such a young age. Devil is sorely missed and will always be remembered. Goodbye my friend...

Dev at the ************************************************************************************* Dev sired quite a few foals in his brief breeding years (about 16). I will be keeping his piebald son Zen to be my future stallion at this stage. I was lucky to be given a final black filly by him this season also, so she will never leave. Devil
had
been extensively shown with great success, winning many champions
and supremes in his mini pony, shetland and pinto classes (winner
of 13 supremes). He was also
awarded AMPS Victorian Hipoint 2-3yr colt for the 04/05 show season
and joint Hi-point stallion for the 05/06 season.
His
progeny were mostly all been broken coloured and can be viewed on
my 2005-2007 foals pages.

This was a great shot to get - all 3 of Devil's piebald colts from the 2006 foaling season competing with success at the AMPS Drouin Group Foal Show. Left to right - Beau Park Cheeky Boy with owner Andrea Heller, me with Darley Zen and Yarralyn Dare Devil with owner Lyn Kondratenkov. Cheeky Boy and Zen were 2nd in their colt classes, Dare Devil won his colt class and he and Zen were 2nd in the pair by sire class.
